The Lake District

Kelly Hall Tarn

This wonderful little tarn is a favourite location, a perfect time is in the late afternoon winter light.

Waterhead

This location is a very hard one to drive past on a misty morning, and this day proved no exception with a little bit of colour in the clouds and a flat calm lake.

Rydal Water

Autumn is one of my favourite seasons. The early autumn colours with the background of mist caught my eye with this shot. The wonderful light helped bring it all to life.

Elterwater

This location can look spectacular in the right conditions and on this particular  morning It was no exception, with a hoar frost and still some autumn leaves on the oak tree being lit up from the rising sun. It's a morning that lives long in the memory.

Buttermere

Buttermere has to be my favourite lake and my favourite spot has to be here. The wonderful Buttermere Pines.

Esthwaite Water

This was taken on a winters afternoon, as the fog that had lingered all day began to lift allowing me to capture the fishermen in their boat.

Windermere

On the banks of this wonderful lake are many boathouses, here is one with some clearing mist reflections and early morning light.

Blea Tarn

This wonderful little tarn is a popular location with photographers and one I find hard to resist visiting from time to time.

Grasmere

This shot was taken on a day of sunshine and showers and In this shot I wanted to capture the fleeting light over the fells as the sun came and went behind the clouds.
