About

About Me

I am a Landscape photographer based in Northwest Lancashire. I have been passionate about capturing the beauty of the landscape for over twenty years now.

I prefer to get as much right in camera as I can and keep post processing to a minimum.

All my work is, for the most part, straight out of camera, I use ND and ND graduated filters to capture the moment in one shot.

Back in 2020, as the country went into lockdown over Covid my body decided to do the same and went into meltdown.

I become extremely poorly and after months of hospital visits and tests. I was eventually diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. I had to undergo a major operation which resulted in having most of my small bowel removed.

I am now an Ostomate and live life with a Stoma. This overall has been a lifechanging experience for me, I have had to recover and adapt to all the changes in my life. I have had to make/sacrifice a lot and after nearly three years of photographic inactivity, I finally feel physically and mentally ready to take up the challenge again to get back out with the camera.

Lets see what the future brings.

I take a look back over the past 3 years and I did not quite realise at the time, how ill I actually was. I also feel very grateful to how far I have come on my road to recovery. So I would like to express how passionate I am about promoting awareness for Crohn's and Colitis. For more information please check out the link on the links page.

Thank you for taking the time to read my about page and thank you for all the support.
